Description:
These Rear Window Louvers are simply made better than the competition. They are durable Satin Black Aluminum and sturdy enough to not flap and vibrate like the competition. Window Louvers help to keep your Z cool in the summer heat, and protect your interior from the sun. Unlike other kits on the market, these kits attach securely with no drilling required, and are easily removable for window cleaning without having to "re-tape" (many other kits install directly with double sided adhesive tape instead of proper brackets). Like our louvers for earlier Z-Cars, they are wisely made in a two-piece design, so shipping doesn't cost a fortune! Kits include everything required for installation.

Why It's Better:

• Rear Window Washer Nozzle: Unlike the competition, this Louver does not require removal of the rear window washer nozzle, leaving the nozzle installed just like it came from the factory (and the opening where it fits properly sealed).
• Rear Window Cleaning: This louver is attached to brackets, which are securely bonded to the rear window. Accessing the rear window for cleaning is as simple as removing a few nuts. No sitting around heating or prying against double sided tape; no cleaning off glue residue; no risk of damage to the deck lid or louver; and NO RE-TAPING!
• Videos of other installed louvers show one common (and major) flaw: they are flimsy and vibrate. This is caused by the thickness of the materials used (most commonly fiberglass or carbon fiber). While those materials are strong for many applications (and look great in the case of carbon fiber), they cannot be made both sturdy and thin, which is a requirement for window louvers. Our louvers are made from aluminum (stronger option lower thickness of louvers), and use an additional center brace for increased sturdiness (a time proven design for louvers).
• We believe the shape of these louvers provides a cleaner look compared to other options, and works much better with the sleek lines of the Nissan 350Z.

Installation Notes:
As with all 350Z rear window louvers, removal of the rear wiper arm is required when installing this kit. Removal of the arm is as simple as lifting the cover at the base of the arm, then removing the single nut holding the arm to the motor. The motor can be left in place and will continue sealing the opening, or you can remove the entire motor assembly from the inside (a plug will need to be sourced separately in order to seal the motor opening). Additionally, the extra weight of any rear window louver may warrant upgrading the deck lid supports, depending on the specific louver and other accessories/modifications (rear wiper motor removal or deck lid spoiler installation). You will need to consider the weight of the specific component to determine whether the medium or heavy duty supports are best for your application; see Related Items for options.

Note:
If your deck lid does not "pop" up when using the opener, either before or after installing this louver, you may need to replace the deck lid "spring bumpers". 350Z and newer models use spring bumpers to help cushion the tailgate on closing and provide that initial opening. These are also prone to wear over time; see 34-1160 in Related Items for replacements.
