Heavy Duty Manifold Hardware Kit, 70-74* 240Z-260Z

Description:
The thermal cycle that manifold hardware is exposed to every time you run your car causes wear to these nuts, studs, etc. In the short term, it can cause nuts and bolts to loosen; however, over a longer period of time, hardware stretches, weakens, and can even break (the latter usually happens during removal). Unfortunately, there is no getting around the long term effects of thermal cycling, which is why we recommend replacing old hardware whenever you have the manifolds removed (for instance, when installing one of our performance headers). To help alleviate this issue, the studs in this kit, which are the most susceptible to wear, have been improved and upgraded!
Upgraded Studs!
*Application Notes:
We recommend this kit for all 70-74 240Z-260Z's with E31 or E88 Cylinder Heads. 73-74 models originally used bolts along the top of the intake manifold; however, we have found that studs make manifold installation easier. For all later L-Series heads (N42, N47, P79, P90), follow the fuel system you are choosing. Regardless of which 70-83 Z you have, if you are using an N42, N47, P79, or P90 head with a carburetor setup, you will need this kit. If you are using an N42, N47, P79, or P90 head with a fuel injection manifold, then you need part 15-8087 or 15-8089 (see Related Items).
