Description:
Whether you are restoring your early Z-Car to original specifications or simply trying to retain the smog equipment, a functioning smog pump is a must for the original appearance and to complete the system. The pump is the central component of the air injection system, which helps control emissions output by adding fresh air to the exhaust. The extra oxygen helps oxidize (burn off) partially or unburned fuel, which results in lower emissions through the tailpipe. Sold on an exchange basis.

Exchange Notes:
A core exchange (or core charge) is required for this smog pump. Simply install this remanufactured unit when you receive it, then ship your old pump (core) back to us (we'll contact you with return instructions after we receive your order). Your old smog pump (core) must be complete with all fittings and hardware (excluding pulley), intact, and in rebuildable condition (no damage to housing, not frozen/seized etc.) to qualify for core refund.
