Description:
Fusible links are subjected to significant wear and corrosion over time, both visible and hidden. As they age, the components that make up the links become more and more brittle the longer they are used. Even links that have not burned out are still subject to wear simply from regular use. Replacing a worn out link will take care of most issues; however, the connector on the harness side suffers the same way as the connector on the link itself (and are most often overlooked). Reproduction links have been available for some time now for 70-73 models (see part 12-4333-1 in Related Items), and this harness side connector was introduced some time later. Additionally, this connector is correct for the downstream harness (engine side) of the main EFI fusible link for 75-77 280Z's as well! Will also work on original 1970 Fusible Links (which are no longer available) or when upgrading to the later style 240Z links. 75-77 Zs: see 12-4353 in Related Items for the upstream connector.

Harness Installation:
The terminal of this connector is originally crimped on to the wire harness. While a standard wire stripper/crimper cam be used, this type of terminal is best secured with a dedicated wire crimping tool (such as a ratcheting crimper). Solder can also be used, but is usually not required when using a dedicated crimping tool.
