Description:
The Ignition Transistor Module is one of the critical components of the ignition system. Its primary function is amplifying the ignition signal from the ECU, which is then connects and disconnects the ignition coil primary circuit. This process is what induces the high voltage charge in the secondary ignition coil circuit, which then sends the charge to the distributor. Original units are known to wear out from time and use, which can lead to issues ranging from rough idle and hard starting all the way to an engine that won't run at all. This genuine, original equipment (OEM) replacement module was used on late production 300ZX-Z31 models, and uses a 3-wire connection.
