Weber DCOE Carburetors are somewhat sensitive to vibration. Too much, and the fuel level in the float bowl can be negatively affected (and by extension, the float levels and fuel flow). These vibrations are generally not significant enough to cause trouble during constant high RPM use (such as racing); however, it can lead to fueling issues at idle or low RPM driving. Weber has utilized Anti-Vibration Mounts (also called Soft Mounts) to both seal the carbs to the intake manifold and absorb engine vibrations throughout the RPM range for many years now, and as with any rubber part, the o-rings can dry out or become brittle with age. It's also possible to damage them during carburetor removal, although this typically only happens with older o-rings or if care is not used during removal. This kit includes a set of correct replacement o-rings to properly seal and insulate your triple carb setup. Sold individually; 1 kit required per carburetor (3 kits required for standard Z configuration).
Notes:
If your triple Weber setup is using anti-vibration mounts, keeping a set of spare o-rings on hand is a good precaution on the same lines as keeping a spare set of ignition points in the glove box. If your setup is currently solid mounted and you want to convert to the soft mounts, see 11-2999 in Related Items. For replacement solid mount gaskets, see 11-3126.
