Description:
This Weber set up is a great alternative to stock carburetors. 32/36 DGV's are 2 barrel progressive carburetors, a design which allows you flexibility to tune for performance or economy. The solid linkage eliminates the unreliable cables found in some of these conversions. Installation is strictly bolt-on; no major modifications are required**. The kit includes carburetors, adapters, linkage, air cleaners, hardware, and instructions.
*Emissions Note:
This Carburetor kit is legal for use on 70-74 models in most areas including California. If your area does not allow the standard DGV kit, check with your local smog authority to find out whether they allow this California Air Resources Board (C.A.R.B. EO D-133-3) approved version (many areas that have adopted C.A.R.B. regulations will now allow for C.A.R.B. approved parts too).
Installation Note:
Weber designed this carburetor setup as a direct fit for 73-74 models. 70-72 models will require some additional work to install.
**75-83 Important Notes:
This kit is not approved in California for use on 75 and later Z's that originally came with fuel injection. For areas outside of California, check your local smog laws to confirm prior to ordering if you are planning to install on a 75-83 model (NOT covered in the EO listed above). If you will be converting your 75-83 model to these carburetors, you will need additional components to complete your conversion, including 70-74 L6 carburetion intake manifolds with balance tube (73-74 recommended) and carburetion fuel supply components (pump, regulator, fuel hose, and filter).
Note:
The Holley fuel pressure regulator is ideal for use with these carburetors, as DGV's have a greater fuel pressure requirement for proper performance than standard S.U. Carburetors. See 11-2985 in Related Items.
