Description:
The control arms are one of the central parts of the front suspension. Their primary role is to connect the front wheels to the chassis; however, several other components also connect to them on the 300ZX-Z31 (including the sway bars, shocks and springs, and tension rods). Front control arms also house the ball joints, which allow the strut assemblies to both turn and articulate. Short of being damaged in a collision, control arms themselves generally do not simply go bad. More commonly, the bushings used to connect the various components to the control arm wear out from age and use (which are mostly easier to install). Should you need to replace the passenger (right) side front control arm on your Z, this genuine, original equipment (OEM) replacement is the best option.
