This genuine, original equipment (OEM) gasket is the best option when using original cast exhaust manifolds. Designed for use with OE style manifolds. Seals both the intake and exhaust manifolds to the cylinder head (one gasket required per car).
Note:
For Fuel Injected, non-turbo round "O" exhaust port (late N47, P79,) and turbocharged square "[ ]" exhaust port heads with factory style Fuel Injection intake manifolds and original diamond "<>" port Exhaust Manifold. Also suitable for use on 75-78 Fuel Injected cylinder heads with factory manifold, regardless of cylinder head or exhaust manifold port shape. Not for use with performance headers; see 10-2527 in Related Items.
280ZX Exhaust Ports:
280ZX cylinder heads were designed with either round (non-turbo) or square [turbo] exhaust ports. This includes the late N47 and P79 heads, which are often referred to as "Diamond Port" despite the ports themselves being round. Diamond Port refers to the shape of the exhaust manifold port shape instead, which is what this replacement gasket is designed to match (Nissan supplied the same shape gasket as this replacement for all 280ZX heads). This gasket can be used with Round Port Cylinder Heads (N47, P79) as well as Square Port Cylinder Heads (P90, P90A) with the original exhaust manifold. We also use this gasket as a replacement for the hard to source 75-76 (N42) and 77-78 (early N47) gaskets with stock manifold.
75-78 Note:
At this time, all stock type square and round port fuel injection manifold gaskets supercede to this diamond port gasket per Nissan. Original style replacement square and round exhaust port gaskets have been discontinued by their manufacturers. Please contact us if you have any questions.
