Description:
Regardless of whether your Z-Car is new or old, protecting the various rubber components is a must. The more visible rubber components are generally addressed during regular cleaning (tires, exterior rubber parts); however, most of the other rubber parts are often times ignored until they completely wear out. This long-term protective lubricant is designed to significantly reduce friction between rubber parts and the various surfaces they contact, reducing wear on the rubber and potentially increasing the lifespan (squeaks are often times eliminated too). It is specifically formulated to stay in place through a wide temperature range without hardening, and is suitable for a wide array of applications. Safe for all surfaces including rubber, metal, wood, glass, and plastics, and is harmless to most finishes.

• Cables (& Cable Boots): Throttle, Choke, Hood Release, Gas Door Release, Deck Lid Release
• Grommets & Boots: Wire Harness (Main, Wiper, etc.), Wiper Pivot, Heater Hose, Fuel Vent Hose, Brake Caliper Slide Pins

Application Notes:
When applying this grease, a very small amount will go a long way. Make sure the surface you are applying to is clean and dry, then apply an extremely thin coating. A rag or towel can be used; however, for smaller parts it may be easier to accurately apply using rubber/nitrile gloves instead.

Note:
This grease is not intended for use as an installation lubricant; see 80-8502 in Related Items for our Temporary Installation Lubricant instead. Should not be used on some wearing rubber parts, such as Wiper Blades. Additionally, we do not recommend using any kind of grease or lubricant on drive belts, even when the manufacturer indicates that it is safe for use. Please contact us with any questions.

New Weatherstrip Installations:
Weatherstrip and Rubber Protective Grease should only be applied to new rubber parts after installation and any required installation adhesive has fully cured.
