Description:
Yet another great find from Kameari! This durable, great looking adjuster arm is functionally the same as our exclusive version that we've offered for many years, but has a different finish and design for the center bar. It comes with silver rod ends, and the included hardware is also different, making it a particularly good match for our Chrome Bolt Kits & Bundles.

The factory leverage-type alternator adjuster arms were made of fairly thin metal, and are prone to bending, cracking, and eventually breaking as a byproduct of their design. The leverage that needs to be applied to the alternator to achieve proper belt tension on the original design ultimately weakens the arm itself over time, and if care isn't taken the alternator itself can be damaged. While the design was typical of the time, better alternatives have since been developed to replace the originals.

Like our adjuster arm, the Kameari arm features several benefits over the original design, including:

High quality materials for increased durability and strength.
Silver plated center rod** and heim joints ensure show car quality appearance without sacrificing strength.
Adjustable from 127mm to 157mm
Hex shaped center bar for simple tensioning and loosening.
Twist to adjust design for precision tension adjustment (no risk of over or under tensioning).
Heim Joint at each end provides high strength mounting points.
Double jam nuts fully prevent unwanted changes in adjustment position once tightened.
Includes all installation hardware (with proper hardware for use with heim joints).

*280ZX Note:
The original 280ZX replacement adjusting arm had an additional mounting tab at the outer end of the adjustment side of the bracket (on the top side angled toward the rear), which was used to mount a support clamp for the lower radiator hose (see diagram on this page for reference). This adjustment arm was originally designed for use with S30 models, which did not use the support clamp. If your 280ZX still has this clamp, you will need to manufacture an alternate mounting solution in order to use it with this adjuster. Note that the clamp has been discontinued by Nissan, and it is not considered functionally critical. See notes on 12-4066 (S30 version) and 12-4063 (280ZX version) for more details on the original adjuster arms.

**Note:
Kameari also offers this adjuster arm with either gold or blue plated center bar and upper bolt spacer. We do not offer this normally, but can Special Order these options directly from Kameari if needed. Please contact us directly for ordering. Note that even with the sped up timeframe mentioned below, it will still take a bit for one of these alternate options to arrive in stock.

Kameari Product Note:
All Kameari products were originally Special Order items with a 6-8 week timeframe to arrive from Japan (they were incorrectly listed online as taking 3-4 weeks). We worked out a better deal years ago with them that allowed us to lower our price on all of their products while speeding up the shipping time to us. All Kameari products are still sourced from the manufacturer in Japan.
