Description:
Our Laguna Seca Wing has been a hugely popular option for those looking to have a larger wing for their 350Z for over 20 years now. The Carbon Fiber Type-2 version was made using the mold for the base section of that wing (which looks great on its own!), and this fiberglass version was made from that new mold. It has an appearance that is similar to the OEM Accessory spoiler, but is larger overall, extending further toward the front, sides, and rear. The rear deck lid "Nissan" emblem can still be used due to the cutout in the spoiler. This version of our Motorsport Laguna Seca Type-2 Rear Spoiler is made of high quality fiberglass (see Related Items for the Carbon Fiber), and comes ready for prep and painting.

Safety Note:
ALL rear spoilers will increase downforce on the rear of the car, regardless of design. How noticeable that increased downforce is depends on both spoiler design and how the car is being driven. For standard city street driving, the increased downforce from most spoilers typically doesn't have a significant impact on handling. At highway speeds or on canyon runs, it will be more apparent, and a front spoiler is recommended, but spoiler design ultimately determines whether it is required. On the track (or otherwise at racing speeds), a properly matched front spoiler or air dam is always strongly recommended, and should be considered as mandatory (note this is especially true for taller spoilers, such as the MSA Laguna Seca or Nismo 350Z Spoilers). Please call if you have any questions.

Deck Lid Support Note:
If you are adding this spoiler to your 350Z that did not come with one already, or if you are replacing either an aftermarket or Nissan Accessory spoiler, you may need to replace the tailgate shocks as part of the installation. Nissan included heavier duty deck lid supports and mounting brackets on models that came with the spoiler, and the Factory Option spoilers also included these as part of the installation kit. See 30-8279 in Related Items for our HD Deck Support Kit needed for this spoiler.

Installation Notes:
If your Z currently has a Rear Spoiler or Wing (other than the factory installed standard coupe spoiler), since it will need to be removed prior to installing another, there are couple of things to consider. If what you are replacing is a different style from what you are installing, it may be necessary to fill un-covered holes left from the original installation. In addition, some may have been attached with adhesives, even if they were factory or dealer installed. If that is the case, a heat gun or hair dryer should be used to allow safe removal of the old Spoiler, otherwise damage may occur to the paint. If you are unfamiliar with these procedures, professional installation is recommended. Contact us for help and recommendations.

Protective Coating:
This fiberglass item has a gel coating to protect the fiberglass itself from scratches. It is not a finish coat. Your paint professional will sand down the coating prior to final priming and painting. You will notice scratching in this surface, which is exactly what it was designed to do, to take any scratching that can occur in production, transport, storage, handling, and shipping, keeping the fiberglass from being damaged. Please let us know if you have any questions.
