One of the benefits of Weber DGV Carburetors is their ease of maintenance. In most cases, rebuild kits are all that is required when your DGV carburetors need to be rebuilt. In particularly neglected or high mileage DGVs, the power valve can wear out and also need replacement (although this is uncommon). You might notice that your Z struggles to accelerate, has a particularly rough idle, or runs especially rich in various situations when the valve starts to fail. Fortunately, they are fairly simple to replace even when you are not rebuilding the carbs*. Sold individually; one kit required per carburetor (2 kits required for standard Z configuration).
*Note:
If the power valve is showing signs of failure, it is most likely time for a rebuild as well (although not always). See 11-2998 in Related Items for the DGV Rebuild Kit. If your carbs do not need to be rebuilt and only need a new power valve, see 11-2986 for the required Float Cover gasket.
