Description:
This is the genuine, original equipment (OEM) rear wheel bearing assembly for 300ZX-Z32 twin turbo models. The assembly is bolted to the rear suspension knuckle, and the rear wheel hub is pressed into this assembly. For late models, the emergency brake cable is also attached to the bearing assembly. Worn or damaged wheel bearings can allow the wheel hub to have excessive free play (front to back and top to bottom movement), which can lead to bad vibrations and sloppy handling while driving. Given enough time, these bearings can even seize fully, preventing the wheel from rotating at all. Due to their design, the rear bearing assemblies are non-serviceable and must be replaced when worn out. Direct replacement for driver's (left) side; see note below for passenger side fitment**. *Application Note:
Early 300ZX-Z32 non-turbo models (up to production date 3/90) used rear wheel bearing assemblies that did not have a mounting tab for the emergency brake cable. Late non-turbos and all twin turbo models all have an additional tab cast into the housing for the brake cable (a locating pin is pre-installed on these models, which determines left and right fitment). If your bearing assembly does not have this tab, you have the earlier style non-turbo assembly; see 23-4545 in Related Items.

**Note:
This wheel bearing assembly comes configured for installation on the driver's (left) side of the car. It can be used on the passenger (right) side as well; however, the locating pin must be moved to the opposite hole. A shop press can be used to press out the pin if available; a hammer and punch will also work perfectly as well.
