Schneider Oil Additive For Engine Break-In
Part #:80-9025
Price: $17.97
Includes:
Description:
Schneider Racing Cams has developed their Formula 2 additive, a proprietary blend break-in engine oil additive to ensure proper operation and life of their performance camshafts, by restoring ZDDP levels in oil, facilitating proper engine break-in, and preventing premature failure. Current strict emissions standards have pushed the oil companies to pull zinc, phosphorus, and other high pressure lubricants (ZDDP) out of their oils. The life of a camshaft depends on proper lubrication - inferior oil formulas put your camshaft and motor at risk. This lubricant has high levels of zinc and phosphorus to protect the cam and related parts from premature wear. This combination of high pressure lubricants is essential for the break-in process, and is mandatory for the Schneider cam warranty. This product helps replace the protective properties that have been removed from engine oils, which cause failure. This product can be used anytime, but must be used during the break-in period for the Schneider cam warranty. They will only warranty their camshafts when run with these additives, as well as properly configured and sized new lash pads, the proper new rocker arms, and additionally for 70-83 L-Series engines, the Schneider valve spring kit. **Please contact us or Schneider Racing Cams if you have any questions about proper break-in procedure for your cam.
