NISMO Racing Thermostat, 03-06 350Z

Description:
This low-temp thermostat is a direct replacement for the original 350Z thermostat. Opening at 154° instead of the stock 170°, it is ideal for higher performance or racing 350Z's, those that have been super or turbo charged, or those that operate in very high temperature areas. The lower radiator hose and "oil cooler" hose both connect to this housing. Includes new housing gasket and o-rings for the stock radiator drain plug and rear bleeder port.

"Oil Cooler" Hose Note:
VQ35DE engines use coolant to both reduce engine warm up time when cold and remove heat from the engine oil at operating temperature. This is accomplished using a sandwich style adapter between the oil filter and the upper oil pan that is connected to the cooling system. Nissan refers to this as the "Oil Cooler", even though no oil flows through the system. DE engines connect this system to the thermostat housing directly in order to bypass the thermostat itself.
