Description:
The inner and outer valve springs work in tandem to close the intake and exhaust valves for the compression and combustion strokes. While even stock grade springs are rather stout, they are still susceptible to wear over time, especially when used in high performance engines or with higher lift camshafts. Weak or worn valve springs can lead to valve float, which can show as a range of symptoms from low power and fuel economy to stalling or misfires. Valve springs should be inspected for wear and damage any time the camshaft is removed. Additionally, we recommend installing new valve springs when upgrading to performance camshafts. Genuine, original equipment (OEM) replacement inner valve spring. Sold individually; 12 required per car. See Related Items for the outer spring.
