  • (1) Sway Bar End Link Washer, Inner

Description:
This genuine, original equipment (OEM) washer helps hold the end link bushings in place. The inner washer fits between the topmost bushing and the top of the sway bar and the lowest end link bushing and the bottom of the control arm. Sold individually; 2 required* per end link. For use on OEM sway bars**. See Related Items for other end link components.

*Quantity Note:
We've seen conflicting information between the Nissan microfiche diagrams, factory service manuals, parts books, and even on cars themselves, regarding the quantity required on end link washers. Please inspect your car prior to ordering to confirm the quantity your specific car needs. For reference, the most common configurations we have seen use the following:

Standard Quantities & Positions:
  • (2) Front Sway Bar End Link, 70-78 (per end link; 4 per car)
    • (1) Between the upper end link bushing and the top of the front sway bar (inner position) (per side)
    • (1) Between the lowest end link bushing and the bottom of the front control arm (inner position) (per side)

  • (2) Rear Sway Bar End Link, 74**-78 (per end link; 4 per car)
    • (1) Between the upper end link bushing and the top of the rear sway bar (inner position) (per side)
    • (1) Between the lowest end link bushing and the bottom of the rear control arm (inner position) (per side)

Position Note:
Positions noted as "inner" and "outer" in the list above refer to position on the bushing itself as it sits on the end link. Inner position notes washers that are closer to the center (lengthwise) of the end link, and sit on the "inside" of the bushing. Outer position notes washers that are further from the center and sit on the "outside" of the bushing. For 87-89 models, the socket joint of the end link serves as the "center".

**240Z Note:
70-73 models did not come with a factory installed rear sway bar; however, a common modification involved installing a late model rear sway bar on the 240Z. This washer can be used on the rear of a 240Z that has a 74-78 rear sway bar installed with factory style end links.
