This genuine, original equipment (OEM) gasket is used to seal the IAA Valve to the back of the intake manifold. The valve assemblies can get dirty over time from use, and must me removed to clean out the inside of the valve. A new gasket should be installed when the unit is removed for cleaning or replacement.
Note:
The IAA Valve assembly is referred to by a few different names, including the component names that make up the assembly. The most common include: AAC/AACV (Auxiliary Air Control Valve); IAC/IACV (Idle Air Control Valve); FICD (Fast Idle Control Device). Regardless of the name used, this gasket seals the assembly as a whole to the intake manifold.
