Price: $19.87
Includes:
Description:
If you are planning to use an electric fuel pump instead of the factory mechanical pump, you will need to install a block off plate in place of the stock mechanical unit. This genuine, original equipment (OEM) plate is a good option if you want an OE look to your cylinder head. *Also fits some fuel injected cylinder heads, see note below. Gasket(s) and hardware not included.
*Cylinder Head Note:
L6 engines that came with carburetors from the factory originally used mechanical fuel pumps mounted on the passenger (right) side of the cylinder head. Some fuel injected cylinder head casting molds retained the opening for the fuel pump, and came with a block off plate installed from the factory (see 11-3066 in Related Items). This plate will fit on any L6 cylinder head with the fuel pump opening and 3 mounting holes in triangular orientation. Known cylinder head castings with the fuel pump opening include: E31; E88; N33; N42; P90; P90A. N47 and P79 cylinder heads do not normally have the opening. International and non-Z castings may have the opening; please inspect your cylinder head prior to ordering.
Installation Note:
This block off plate is not designed for use with the original insulator block (not included); however, the factory studs are too long to use this plate without it. You will need 2 gaskets if you plan to retain the insulator block. If you do not want to use the factory insulator, you will need to remove the factory studs and purchase 1 gasket (10-2641) and 3 bolts (14-1311) to install this plate. See Related Items for both of these pieces. Please give us a call if you have any questions.
Plating Note:
As with many of the OEM hardware, fittings, caps, and other plated components, Nissan no longer uses the original plating that gave these block off plates their "yellow zinc" appearance. Nissan has used several different types of plating on metal components over the years, and it is not uncommon to receive pieces with different appearances (especially when ordering in quantity). The current plating used on these genuine Nissan block off plates gives them a more silver appearance. Note that the image shows the original plating; new images coming soon.
