Description:
This genuine, original equipment (OEM) nut fits on the Connecting Rod Bolt to hold the Connecting Rod together on the Crankshaft. Unlike the rod bolts, connecting rod nuts can generally be reused a limited number of times as long as they are not damaged. While this is the case, it's still a good idea to replace all of the hardware together, especially during a rebuild. Sold individually; 2 required per connecting rod (12 per car).

Note:
While the OEM connecting rod hardware is plenty strong enough for most applications, engines that will be used for racing may require something stronger. See 10-1312 for the upgraded ARP rod bolts. Note that these are currently the only way to get replacement 8mm bolts as well.

Model Note:
Nissan originally listed 8mm rod bolts for 70-71 models. We have seen some instances where later 240Z models had these same 8mm connecting rods installed from the factory. In addition, many early Z-Car owners have replaced their connecting rods with those found in later engines. We recommend measuring your rod bolts prior to ordering to confirm which size you need.
