Description: The factory installed rocker cover bolts (also called valve cover bolts) become brittle over time. Combined with a rather low torque requirement, and it's no wonder that the original bolts often break during re-installation. (We've even heard of a few breaking just from hand tightening!) Nissan has since superceded the original part to this replacement rocker cover bolt for 350Z and 370Z models (and most other VQ engines as well). Sold individually. Sold individually; see the list below for quantity and torque spec.
Installation Tips: Be very careful when installing these bolts. While it is a superceded piece now, it still has the same low torque spec. We recommend installing the bolts by hand first (but only until resistance is felt), then follow the factory 2-step torque spec and order using an inch-pound specific torque wrench. If you aren't sure of the installation order, or don't have access to a Factory Service Manual, click the links below for a diagram showing the proper order.
