Factory Timing Tensioner & Water Pump Inspection Cover Bolt, 03-06 350Z

Factory Timing Tensioner & Water Pump Inspection Cover Bolt, 03-06 350ZQuantity in Basket:none
Code: 14-1183

As any early Z-Car owner can likely confirm, broken studs and bolts are not fun to remove from aluminum parts. One of the best ways to prevent broken bolts is to replace hardware before it breaks during removal. This genuine, original equipment (OEM) bolt is used to hold the covers that fit over the Timing Chain Tensioner and Water Pump to the Front Timing Cover. Sold individually; 7 required per car.

Quantity Required:
  • Timing Tensioner Cover: 3
  • Water Pump Cover: 4

Installation Notes:
These cover bolts have a very low torque spec. We recommend installing the bolts by hand first (but only until resistance is felt), then follow the factory torque spec using an inch-pound specific torque wrench. Torque Spec: 87 - 112 in-lb.

Alternate Use:
Nissan does not specify the part number or torque spec for the small bolt that holds the Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid to the Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid Assembly. While not specified by Nissan, we have found that this bolt will function as a replacement. We recommend using the same torque spec as mentioned above for this bolt. Keep in mind that the solenoid itself is also not available as a separate item, so the only reason it should be removed from the valve assembly would be for inspection when the associated engine code is given (which should only be done by a qualified mechanic).
