Description:
Gas struts have become common on many models over the years, typically replacing oil filled cartridges. They offer improved handling and ride quality compared to factory struts while also preventing oil foaming (a common issue with oil cartridges). Excel-G Struts are one of, if not the most popular replacement for stock struts worldwide. All KYB's have a limited lifetime warranty. Replacement Spring Seats (basically a shock absorber with a spring perch attached) are non-adjustable* and sold in pairs.

*Adjustable Suspension Note:
These Gas Spring Seats can be used in place of the factory adjustable suspension; however, some minor modification is required (filing/drilling to enlarge holes in the upper mounts). Note that the factory adjustment will no longer work with these struts, and must be disabled. Please contact us with any questions.

Note: KYB's are designed for stock springs, and are not for use with lowering springs.

GR-2 Note:
These Gas Spring Seats were formerly named "GR-2" by KYB. The GR-2 line has been merged with the Excel-G Line. Per KYB, the only difference between the two were the outer coating on the body; all features and dimensions are the same.
