Description:
The cold start valve is essentially a fuel injector mounted on the intake manifold just behind the throttle body. It adds extra fuel during cold start-ups. Depending on how it has failed, it can cause hard starts in cold operation or rich conditions at operating temp. It is also a good idea to inspect the electrical plug and Thermo Time Switch if your valve not functioning properly. This Bosch replacement valve is slightly different than the original early style valve*, but has the same style shaft and vertical nozzle as the original (the nozzle sprays fuel downward when installed). *Note: The original Nissan Cold Start Valve has been discontinued. This Bosch unit is of equal or better quality. The fuel inlet tube for the fuel line is in a different position, so you will need one extra foot of our part 11-4001 fuel hose to complete the installation (see Related Items). As noted above, the shaft and nozzle configuration are the same as the factory installed version. Please call with any questions.
