Factory Heater Core, 74-78 260Z-280Z
Availability: Unfortunately, this item has been discontinued by Nissan. While we had previously located a limited number of these OEM Heater Cores through one of our overseas suppliers, they have since informed us that the last supply they were able to source has since run out. While it can be uncommon, we do come across ultra-rare or otherwise hard-to-find parts like this once in a while. We'll update this page if we are able to locate more, or if we are able to locate an alternative. Give us a call with any questions at (714)639-2620.

Description:
This genuine, original equipment (OEM) core transfers heat from engine coolant to the passenger cabin. While these do go bad in some cases, the most common culprits of coolant leaking all over your carpet are a failed control valve or cracked hoses. In the event that your core was found to have failed, this original replacement is the best option.
Note:
Heater cores are nearly identical in function to the engine's radiator. Both are heat exchangers that reduce coolant temperatures and release heat into the air. This is why it is often recommended to turn on your car's heater if you notice the engine temperature is higher than normal. If your radiator has gone bad due to a debris clog, corrosion buildup or other internal issue related to the core itself (as opposed to external corrosion or physical damage), inspecting the heater core for similar issues can help prevent failure while installed in the car (such leaks on your carpet and rotted floor pans).
Availability Note:
Ever since Nissan discontinued production of these heater cores over two decades ago, inventory of these cores has been limited. Although it took some time to locate them originally, we were ultimately able to find a limited supply of these genuine Nissan Heater Cores in Japan. Availability has been spotty over the years, and these have shown up and disappeared multiple times. Like many items that we source from Japan or other areas around the world, these cores may not be in stock at all times. If we are currently out of stock, be sure to check back in case we have located another supply.
