The best performance filters because of the special foam element, which allows more air to pass while providing good filtration. The heavy duty frames are injection molded and reinforced for long life. The choice of many European racing teams. The design allows for the use of air horns where applicable. One unit covers both carbs.
All ITG filters MUST be run with ITG specific filter oil (Dust Retention Spray or Heavy Duty Air Filter Oil) applied. Do not use K&N or other types of "filter oils" on ITG filters. The filter elements do not come pre-oiled from ITG, and the filter kits do not include oil to apply. Dust Retention Spray or Heavy Duty Air Filter Oil must be applied prior to their initial use, and after each cleaning (see 80-8207 Dust Retention Spray or 80-8208 Heavy Duty Filter Oil (one required before installation), and 80-8206 Filter Cleaning Fluid (not required until first cleaning) in Related Items below).
11-3014 Air Horn Note:
When using our 11-3014 Air Horns, the best way to install them is to hold the air horn assembly and filter together, one side at a time, position them on the carburetor, and you'll have room to tighten the bolts in place by reaching around the filter, before clamping down the filter itself.
11-3037 Air Horn Note:
If you wish to use these with our 11-3037 Air Horns, note that the Air Horn bell lip will be pressed right up against the interior ITG plastic framework. The air flow will be partially restricted, but function acceptably. The best way to install them is to hold the air horn assembly and filter together, one side at a time, position them on the carburetor, and you'll have room to tighten the bolts in place by reaching around the filter, before clamping down the filter itself.
