Cabin air filters are used to prevent contaminants, such as dust and pollen, from entering your car. Signs that it's time to replace yours include lower than normal airflow through the vents and a mildew smell when you run the fan. A good rule to follow is to inspect your filter every 15,000 miles in standard driving conditions (more often in areas with poor air quality or significant dust). This filter is a direct replacement for the original, which uses particulate paper to capture physical contaminants ranging from dust to leaves or bugs. Dimensions are the same as your original filter, approximately 8 1/2" by 7 7/8" by 3/4".
