Description:
When we were first working with our fiberglass supplier on the SS Style Front Lip, we repeatedly came across a similar style lip. It turned out to be a highly popular style that was originally only available in Japan. A sample was eventually found in good condition which became the basis of this JDM Style Front Lip. Compared to the SS lip, this version is a bit taller and features more aggressive styling, including a more pronounced lower "aero lip" along the bottom edge. The simplified installation originally developed for the fiberglass SS Style Lip was also carried over to the JDM Style Lip. This version of the JDM Style Front Lip is made of high quality fiberglass (see Related Items for Carbon Fiber), and comes ready for prep and painting. Like our SS Style Lip, mounting studs are built into the lip, and the remaining hardware is included (drilling required for installation).

Protective Coating:
This fiberglass item has a gel coating to protect the fiberglass itself from scratches. It is not a finish coat. Your paint professional will sand down the coating prior to final priming and painting. You will notice scratching in this surface, which is exactly what it was designed to do, to take any scratching that can occur in production, transport, storage, handling, and shipping, keeping the fiberglass from being damaged.
