All of the exhaust system tubes, mufflers, clamps, hangers, tips, and instructions are just about finished! We hope that all can be ready to go the same time as the headers, which are almost complete as well. We believe our exhaust designs have the best combination of power and awesome sound available for Z-Cars anywhere. Many have been pre-sold, and we look forward to seeing (and hearing) all of them! Thank you for your patience through this long process... Exhausts are coming soon!!

Before they left, they recommended another local manufacturer they knew and trusted. We’re getting all the jigs and patterns set up and running at the new place, and will have a new flow of well-made product on the way very soon.

We expect most to be already reserved before they’re delivered to us. We've successfully completed the re-creation of the performance down pipe for 70-78 L28T swaps, and they are now available again (and for significantly less than before)! The stock 280ZX Turbo Down Pipe can be a weak link in your performance turbo conversion. Even with a high performance exhaust system, the stock pipe restriction will limit your performance gains. These 2 1/2" diameter Aluminized Steel exhaust down pipes were designed specifically for any 70-78 Z using the stock turbo exhaust manifold and turbocharger from a 280ZX. The down pipe has the proper exhaust flange and Oxygen Sensor hookups, and extends to the correct area where you can modify it for either the stock or a custom exhaust. These specially made down pipes are exclusively available at Motorsport. Replaces previous #15-6037-8-9.
*Fitment Note:
As noted above, this tube is specifically designed to work in 70-78 model Z-Cars with the L28ET engine installed (81-83 280ZX turbo engine) with both the 280ZX factory turbo exhaust manifold and the factory 280ZX turbocharger assembly (specifically the turbine casing/housing). The outlet gasket (10-2542 in Related Items) can be used as a reference for the shape of the flange used on this conversion down pipe. It will not fit in the 280ZX model, will not fit with turbochargers that have a different flange shape, and will not fit with any other turbocharged engine swap. Please give us a call prior to ordering if you have any questions.
