Description:
This conversion is for the necessary hardware only for installing rear disc brakes on your 240Z, 260Z, or 280Z (see note below for 77-78 Z). It consists of our custom made 6061-T6 Nickel Plated Aluminum brackets, custom stainless steel brake lines, and necessary bolts & hardware. You will also need to purchase your choice of rear 82-83 280ZX brake rotors, cross drilled, or stock (sold separately). You will then need to supply rear calipers from an 85-88 Nissan Maxima (front wheel drive). This is a direct bolt-on setup, requiring no modification of the vehicle, except that the backing plates and rear drum hardware must be removed. The brackets and brake lines attach to the original fixtures, no proportioning valve is needed, and the original emergency brake cable is retained (70-76 Z).
