Since the area under the tailgate around the latch to either side often has been prone to rust, and since that is part of the expensive, hard to replace, entire rear panel of the car, being able to just fix the small portion on top of the panel is a Godsend! The piece covers the major areas under the tailgate that are normally subject to rusting. This handy all-metal repair panel was originally created when Nissan was restoring 240Z's for sale before the 350Z was introduced. That original panel was discontinued, but we have secured a reproduction of the same panel, and have even been told by some of the first shops to use this one, that it is more accurate than the original repair panel. The piece is approximately 41" by 3 1/4" (ends) to 3 3/4" (center). Please call if you have questions about the exact coverage. *Though designed specifically for 70-73 240Z's, this panel can be used on 74-78 Z's successfully.
