Description:
The Motordyne Iso Thermal MREV2™ is a modified lower collector that will make substantial power gains, with or without a spacer or aftermarket plenum. It utilizes a standard lower collector, with modified intake runners, which reduces the pressure drop. Multiple independent test show when used with a 5/16" spacer on the REVUP engine, the combination will add a "minimum" of 15+ HP and 18+ TQ in the upper midrange. Many independent MREV REVUP tests have dyno results in excess of 20HP and 30 TQ in the upper midrange, and with high RPM peak power increased by 3-5 HP. On the road course or drag strip, this lower collector adds substantial power and torque. No other normally aspirated VQ modification provides as much gains as MREV2!
When used with on the non-REVUP 350Z engine, the gains when it is installed alone without a spacer are very similar to that of the 5/16" spacer. However, the MREV2 will show a slightly lower peak value, with a slightly higher average value and a slightly higher TQ value. Racers may want to get the spacer AND the MREV2, for improved top-end performance. Overall, MREV2 provides "area under the curve" and is the highest gain plenum mod available.
