Description: This 5/16" Motordyne Performance Iso Thermal™ Plenum Spacer reduces the effect of power robbing heat soak, substantially reduce upper and lower plenum temperatures. Cooler intake air temperatures increase air density and reduces the tendency for detonation or ping. Manufacturer tests have shown an added 11-13 HP (even more for turbo or supercharged). The intake growl will also sound stronger and lower. All gaskets, hardware, and instructions are included for simple installation. Thermal Components: *The first component is an Aramid thermal isolating gasket that is installed between the lower plenum and intake manifold, which significantly reduces heat soak. *The second component is the throttle body Coolant Control Valve (CCV). The CCV allows you to selectively heat (or not heat) the plenum assembly. With local weather temperatures below 55°F the valve is left open. In warmer weather the valve can be closed for maximum thermal benefits. *The third thermal management component is the Iso Thermal™ plenum internal supports. The plenum internal supports are self retaining and self sealing. In addition to providing sealing and support, the internal supports are thermally non-conductive to effectively shut down heat transfer through the six plenum internal posts. Stealth Technology: The Iso Thermal™ Spacer is fully compatible with all stock and aftermarket strut bars, and the original engine cover fits correctly without modification. With the engine cover and strut bar in place the engine bay looks completely stock. When installed, most people looking at them wouldn't even know a high performance modification was there. The CNC cut spacers conform very tightly to the stock plenums complex shape for a professionally engineered look. And they have a grit blast finish that allows them blend in with the OEM sand cast plenum. The spacers are cut from alloy aluminum and can resist any amount of thermal soak or boost. *Model Restriction: Spacer kit WILL NOT FIT 2005 Anniversary Edition.
